The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area each day. The services issue produced for intervention experiences a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for your office to attend sassa status to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to permit the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
